Diva is a term used by the WWE, promotion of American professional wrestling to refer to the talent feminine. The term is applied to women who appear as wrestlers, managers or valets, backstage interviewers or announcers. The Diva Search is a competition that sets the WWE for women to find female talent. Created as a real contest, the contest had five editions from 2003-2007, where the winner received a cash prize of $ 100,000. Formerly of $ 250,000 and a year of development contract to train and participate as a fighter, interviewer or manager. Despite only winning the WWE development contracts usually given to other contestants who were eliminated. Candice Michelle was the first participant of the Diva Search to win the WWE Women’s Championship followed by Marys who was the first participant of the Diva Search to win the Championship WWE Divas. Eve Torres was the first Diva Search winner to win the Divas Championship WWE, being also has the greatest number of reigns with the title, while Layla is the only winner in win both championships company. On March 29, 2015 the company announced that the contest in the fall of 2015 will be exclusive to the WWE Network.
